Privacy Policy

PrompTele is built so that your work stays on your phone. This policy describes exactly what the app does and does not do with your information.
What we collect
Nothing. PrompTele has no account, no sign-in, and no analytics. We do not collect your name, your email address, or any identifier that points back to you.
What stays on your device
- Your scripts and projects
- Your brand files and the notes you add to them
- Everything you say to the app, including spoken briefs and voice notes
- Videos you record, until you choose to save them to your photo library
None of it is uploaded. It is stored on the device and removed when you delete the app.
Speech recognition
PrompTele transcribes your speech using Apple's on-device Speech framework, so audio is processed on the phone and is not sent to us or to Apple's servers. Audio is never written to disk — it goes from the microphone to the recogniser and is discarded.
Script writing
Scripts are written by Apple's on-device Foundation Models. Your brief and your brand file are given to that model on the phone. They are not transmitted anywhere.
Third-party AI services
PrompTele does not use any third-party AI service. It does not send your data to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other AI provider, and it contains no third-party AI SDK.
Both AI features — writing scripts and following your voice — run entirely on your device using frameworks built into iOS and iPadOS:
- Script writing uses Apple's Foundation Models framework, which runs Apple's model on the device itself.
- Voice pacing and voice commands use Apple's Speech framework, which transcribes on the device itself.
Your scripts, briefs, brand files, spoken words and recordings are never sent to us, to Apple, or to anyone else. The app contains no code that uploads them — the only network requests it makes are the subscription checks described below.
Camera and photos
If you turn the camera on, PrompTele records video locally and asks before adding a take to your photo library. We never see those videos.
Subscriptions
Payments are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.
We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated identifier for your installation and the purchase information Apple provides. It is not linked to your name or email, because we never ask for them. RevenueCat's own privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
These subscription checks are the only network requests PrompTele makes.
What we never do
- We do not sell or share your personal information
- We do not track you across apps or websites
- We do not use advertising identifiers
- We do not run analytics or crash tracking
Children
PrompTele is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete on request. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
